Anyone switch from RA into consulting? Any tips? I’ve seen a few people do it so I know it’s possible. Any particular skills or experience that can be highlighted during recruiting?

Go to b school

like

I was in RA at pwc.. went to an M7 full time… interned at bcg between Y1 and Y2, and joined full time after graduation. Been here a few years now and doing well. So to answer your question, yes you can go straight to b school and get in after. The key is going to a top b school.

Project management and business analyst experience is one I leveraged heavily, & got extra certs for the field I’d be consulting in. A lot of consulting is learning how to take what business people need and translate it into technical language or vice versa.

Thanks boss, that’s helpful :)

Huh, you want to be laid off?

I’m thinking more so for future career planning - i know the market isn’t too hot right now. Maybe next year or so to see what my options are

I did to cyber - it was a long process 1-2 years of trying really

Haha sorry, salute emoji equivalent 🫡

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
