McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company Hi there! I’m looking at applying to McKinsey, and am wondering what is the correct level to apply for. I’m a second year analyst (recently promoted to consultant but title isn’t effective until end of the month), and I’ve been with my firm for 1.5 years. Is business analyst the correct level for me, or should I be looking at associate roles? Reading the description for associate, I feel like it might be the Deloitte equivalent of SC lol

I've seen that as a popular practice in the advertising and marketing world. Rarely in consulting.

PowerPoint allows for better formatting. Both me and my wife's consulting resumes are in PowerPoint
I do, it’s much easier to format. I still create in a vertical orientation and export to PDF before sending anywhere.
Just print as PDF

I use Tableau
That way prospective employers can view my attributes quantitatively and illustrate synergies both between my different skills and with their organization!
I usually attach a tutorial.

My brother did with good results. Provided the ppt style bio as a coverletter + a resume.
I did once and got good feedback. Ultimately the timing didn’t work out with that role.
However the feedback I’ve gotten from most people who’ve looked at both is that the word-based resume (of course converted to PDF) was better as it is what most people are used to. You don’t want people to have to work too hard to understand what you’re about.

Thought this was obvious but I meant to format a slightly more visually appealing 1 page resume.
