Yes, for both of my dogs (3 year old Goldendoodle and 5 month old Sheepadoodle). I went with the higher tier with wellness visits which also covers flea and tick preventative along with regular checkups. Claims are usually processed within 3-5 business days and it’s up to 90% reimbursement after you meet the deductible of $250 (which is easy with a puppy!).
What does it include?
Yes. I have it. There are 2 tiers. I took the one that includes wellness visits because I have a puppy and there are a lot of upfront vet visits.
Do you thing it’s worth having it vs paying out of pocket? I have an older dog who’s overall healthy, but I want to make sure I’m able to take care of him as he gets older and issues arise.
I looked into it but went with HealthyPaws which I found to be cheaper. We have had reimbursable claims before and that went smoothly.
It’s hard to say; it’s too soon to do the math. There are definitely cheaper options, but I felt like this plan is pretty comprehensive. I have a large breed dog that is prone to health problems as it gets older, so while I might not see the benefits right now, there could be some expensive vet bills in our future.
