I was in BigLaw for 9 years and left because I hit my savings target. FIRE kept me motivated. I’m now primarily supporting my wife’s career (BigLaw counsel) as her job has unparalleled flexibility and she legit enjoys it, so we’ll use that to get the rest of the way to full financial independence. For myself, I’m currently focused on writing, wildlife photography, and fitness goals. Its unlikely that I will return to the legal field in the future. I’ve written more about it here if interested: https://www.attorneyevolved.com/post/biglaw-early-retirement

This may provide some insight-also feel free to DM for more details on LLC deductions.
Might need to be more specific
Agreed. What is the specific question?
Just wondering what is actually “deductible” i guess more so I’m regards to entertainment…i.e sporting events are not deductible but what if it is not for a client to discuss business but the actually point of business? Would only travel and food be deductible? Or does the admission become deductible in this scenario
How is this a SALT question?
Ok. Then I guess you don’t care about finding your answer. You’re not going to find your answer here since you’re asking SALT people federal tax questions.
Nothing entertainment related is deductible, even if it’s your ordinary course of business.
I work on a private equity sports fund and they try to expense every “client” meeting when they go to games/events, we M-1 out almost all expenses.
