Doesn’t a senior associate at Seyfarth make $100k below market? I know Polsinelli pays well below market, but I think it’s supposed to have a somewhat decent culture?
Seyfarth is super duper cheap. Polsinelli is good for RE financing. That’s all I know
To add, I got an offer from the Seyfarth RE group in LA. they were so weird and cheap with cut-throat vibes. Would not recommend
For some additional color here - I am currently at a CRE Boutique in ATL (45 or so attorneys) and thinking it is time to make a change. The goal is to find somewhere that would be both a larger platform for later career moves (ie in house) if I decide against trying to do the partner thing, and a pay bump, without sacrificing too much of the Work/Life balance I currently have. Thus the inclusion of the smaller firms above (Parker Poe and Chamberlain)
I vote Polsinelli but am not familiar with that RE group
Polsinelli REF is amazing. Absolutely great group. I only left bc as a senior associate salary gets way compressed and newer IPs don't make much more. If money isn't your #1 motivation, ie your loans are manageable, I'd get in with Polsinelli and work there forever.
FWIW Seyfarth's REF group seems really easy to deal with, have worked with them where they are lender/servicer counsel and everyone is very reasonable and helpful. No idea on pay scale. Not market.
