Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

The press releases on their website dont show a win since 2022. The work can't be that hard.
I was an extern there in NY during law school. It seems pretty easy. Most people came from mid/senior level associate positions at biglaw firms doing securities work. The pay is okay and the hours seemed very chill - probably a true 9-5.
It’s fine. Low stress mostly. Decent pay for the work compared to most government work (in line with SEC).
But the new management is pushing volume/speed over interesting/impactful work, so it’s very much become a job as a the securities version of a traffic cop. And terribly bureaucratic, in part because it’s an organization everyone hates for their own inconsistent reasons.
I would only consider it if you are in the North East or DC. It’s a very regionally biased culture and your opportunity is very limited everywhere else (and the pay is worse everywhere else as well). Pay can get decent in upper management if you can make it.
Anyone know what the pay is like?
