🙄 Y’all sounding like Deloitte. People I work with are competent, kind, professional and win cool work. We get paid well and were one of the only large firms that purposely decided not to conduct COVID layoffs. Our financials are strong.
Guidehouse pays pretty well if you have good credentials/consulting experience. I so far love my segment (Public Health) and have a lot of control and flexibility over my career path and what kind of projects I want to be involved with.

I see people on here talking about how great it is that Guidehouse did not conduct layoffs but those who are in or were in Commercial Health know that it didn’t stop the mass exodus of folks who still chose to leave the dumpster fire for better opportunities during COVID
Comp can be quite good. WLB will vary greatly by team.
I’m in commercial healthcare and really like it! Currently at $85k base though as a new SC
Guidehouse has some good and some bad - just like everywhere else. I think there are some legit complaints (growing pains from acquisition, benefits are just okay), but speaking specifically for commercial health, sales are strong, most of the partners and directors are good to work with, and the pay is reasonable.
In any event, if you come in, work hard, be positive, and sponge all the information around you will be just fine.
Guidehouse isn’t that bad, just depends on your project - that’s the case anywhere in consulting. Benefits and internal processes are not great, but it’s still new so I would never compare guidehouse to a Big 4.
Team is great, pay is great, bonuses are great and I feel like I have control over my career. Everyone is different though.
Starting rate for campus hire SC (advanced degrees) was $90k for me. Healthcare is in lockstep increase for two years.
Many SC hires have an MHA/MBA/MPH and very limited experience
It’s alright for me, airing on the side of good. I’ve been here about 7 months and haven’t had issues.
I think people complain about the benefits often. There are not a lot of benefits compared to my last firm, but tbh i didn’t use them when i had to them anyways. My supervisor and pathfinder are both pretty understanding and do their best to give me guidance/support. Work life balance for me is good. I do 40hrs a week and do some extra things with the firm but my life is pretty quiet.
So far there’s only two things I want but can’t have: more firm holidays and more coverage of expenses for home office stuff would be nice

Hard to say - wide band but probably $100-170 for MC depending on yoe. My annual bonus approached $20K. ADs start higher in both salary and bonus structure.
Is there a specific vertical most advanced degree consultants/SCs are working for?
