Well there’s one thing for sure - you don’t have to work on Sunday

I know a few people that work in their IT and they LOVE it. I wont go as far as saying it’s a cult but the chick fil a culture is very “all in” and everyone I meet from there is very dedicated to their mission.

Sounds like cult speak.

Diversity programs are important to me to avoid groupthink and cult-like environments. That’s why I appreciate EY so much.

In fact, there was something in the news about them being anti-gay. It’s linked to their religious views (hence no work on Sunday the sabbath). All my gay friends won’t eat there, let alone work there.

Seems like a cult. I've had friends who went through like 15 interviews to get a job there.

Wow, are they really that though on the interviews? I know they make you take an accounting test.

From what I've heard from friends, yes. And the CFA office ain't exactly close. I guess they think making you go through a ton of interviews in the middle of the day when it takes 2-3 hours out of your day is a way to make sure you're serious about how bad you want to work there

Do they have a diversity program? Particularly LGBTQ?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

I have two offer as an electrical designer of Jacobs and Worley Which company i should join? Jacobs and Worley

Adverse selection is a huge issue in trading. You never have perfect information and your decision won’t be perfect for the outcome. This usually means you’re too small in winners and too large in losers.

As markets crash we’re seeing something similar. People are ignoring bad outcomes when they should be working that much harder to protect previous gains and find new ideas. Lower traffic in this thread is a symptom of this phenomenon. Don’t quit just as the value of incremental effort ramps.

On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
