Gave interview in TCS, it went pretty well. At the end, the tech interviewer asked my expected ctc. After mentioning as 27lpa, he asked if can be negotiated, told yes.
After that didn't get any feedback, its been around 5days.
Is 27lpa too much fr tcs? 🤔

I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..
I am bit confused with commonwealt

Oakland
Oakland.
Oakland, or if you are looking for an alternative, Walnut Creek would be the best second option. Still a bit suburban, but will have more of what you’re looking for.
Rising Star
No. It’s very suburban, very white/asian/SE Indian, lots of large families with kids. Very little nightlife or single people scene. Look elsewhere. It’s a 30 minute drive from Oakland, even father from SF.
Rising Star
Oakland for sure. Berkeley second.
Pro
Montclair. Bezerkley.
There is a bit of a downtown in both Livermore (plus, wineries) and Pleasanton which can be fun if you have a group of people already, but not sure about how hopping it is for meeting new people. San Francisco would be better for singles, and is an easy straight 1 hour BART ride into Pleasanton (and there’s now 2 different stops), plus you’d be going the opposite of most so would probably not be as crowded of a ride. Oakland would probably be 30-45 min drive or BART as well. If you’re going to be commuting anyways I’d go with either of those two over Walnut Creek personally, Walnut Creek just feels a small step up from Livermore/Pleasanton in terms of single vs family and is around the same drive. Danville is also nice and has a bit of a scene but again, not as hopping as SF/OAK. (Grew up in/around all these cities)
I loved in Danville and loved it
I currently live in Walnut Creek. There’s a good downtown with plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes. Lots of nice parks. But it’s definitely still suburban. Berkeley and Oakland are your best bets. You kind of get the best of both worlds (access to SF and access to East Bay) and you can still find relatively reasonable rent.
Pleasanton is not really a place for singles. Livermore seems to have more going on and Danville is also nice. These are the burbs, so mostly families and really good school districts. San Francisco is mostly full of single men and then there is Man Jose.
I read that in Silicon Valley, men outnumber women 3 to 1.
