Hi! I’m an hr coordinator on a contract. They want to extend my contract, but I was hoping for a perm role, which was supposed to happen. But business changed and that’s not going to happen now. I really need a perm role for benefits, job security, etc. Would you stay with the hopes of a perm role within the next year? I really like this company, just not sure I should hold out, especially since I’ve been going above and beyond my job description. What would you do?

Hi Fishes, need your opinion on which course to take up to further my chances at landing a DS role :
1. MIT micromasters in DS
2. Upgrad MSc in DS (with John Moore University and IIIT blr)
3. Any other option you recommend
The upgrad one is pricey yes, but I see folks who have done it and got a DS role.

Anyone find a new job with little experience? Class of 2019, but I feel like most places aren’t really hiring (Big4, tech, MBB). So, I feel stuck. I’m excelling in my current job, but burning out fast.
A job that I applied to 2-3weeks ago scheduled an interview with me last week and it is in a few days. It shows as no longer accepting applications, could this mean they already are set on someone?
I'm currently in the final rounds of interviewing. If I get a formal offer how have you gone about negotiating vacation? I've given them my desired salary already so that's not an issue but I'm used to having 5 weeks of vacation time and I want to make sure I at least am give something somewhat comparable to that.

How to get a product manager role with no technical background? My training and experience are in Finance/corporate strategy. I have been working in the technology business operation field for 4 years now(another 6 years in pure Finance). Interested to know if anyone has successfully pivoted to PM with no/little product experience?

got laid off at Hopin. job search is going well but finding it super hard in interviews to get an idea of the company culture and whether they actually care about work/life balance. they will obviously *say* they do but i fear in reality they’re just going to advantage, overwork you and pile on the deadlines. so many people in interviews with me have been so uninspiring, barely smile and seem totally burnt out. is this just my experience?

Is it true or gimmick to attract employees?
Contriversal topic but here it goes: I’m in-house a F100 and happen to be a white male (although I do have a fairly severe “invisible” disability). Progression to a management level attorney is quite difficult despite the relatively large. Recently the company announced DEI initiative that includes targets and goals for women and people of color (not applicable to other minorities). I absolutely want more diversity in our law department - I’ve taken steps to help ensure that there is - but…

Hi everyone! I'm a swe thinking about moving into sales engineering. Has anyone on here made the switch? How did it go?
I love love love working at Microsoft, but my team just changed leadership and I HATE the new manager. Do I think about changing jobs? I don't know how long I can handle them.
Since I graduated from CSUN, I’ve been trying to find a job. It was hard finding a entry job software engineering job that requires few years of experience. As a deaf person, many obstacles in my path that I fought so hard to get past them. For instance, they tried to call my videophone, which has an American Sign Language interpreter to pass messages through a webcam and phone call, and thought it was not me. I maybe lose a lot of chances. I wish everything was more easier.
Considering a jump from FTE back to consulting. I have roughly 8 IT YOE, CSPO, CSM, and my MBA. I'm considering a Sr Product Owner role with the mind set of moving to Product Management within the next 1-2 years. With that background and currently being in a candidate's market, roughly what should I target as my salary?
Right now, I'm at 100k with 5% bonus as a BA.
McKinsey & Company I'm currently working as a Sr. Program manager at FAANG. 7 YOE overall experience (work and academic experience incl.,) across different domains with analytics and program mgmnt background. Interested in pursuing Engagement manager opportunities at MBB. Can you please help me out with the referrals? Also, I would like to what's the salary range, hiring process, WLB, growth opp., usually like for Engagement manager positions. McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group@bain&company

15+ people have left my company in the past 5 months (180 person startup) mostly due to low pay /poor management, but mainly low pay. I enjoy my role, and believe in the company to the point that I want to do something about it. Have any of you managed to help reduce turnover rate as an IC? Any suggestions on how to approach this especially since I’m not in HR?
I avoid Series A companies like the plague because they usually don’t have product / market fit or have their shit together at all. Agree or disagree?
Currently working as a software engineer in NYC at a big tech company. Got an offer at Disney Streaming Services which I’m super excited about. I was wondering if anyone can speak to the work/life balance, culture, and general experience working there. Thanks :)
"I'm okay with being poor. It's being insignificant that terrifies me." Heard this on a TV show and it marked me. I'm helping a multi-billionaire dollar company make more money. But I'm insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I can't live like this anymore and I am considering putting in my two weeks. Am I tripping?
I am a post graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Specialized in Power Electronics & Control (CGPA- 7.86) and having 2 years of experience in Engineering Management as a Electrical Engineer at India. Now i am looking for a job. Anyone have any suggestions to move on?
It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.
