Working as a summer analyst in private wealth management this summer and just got a return offer at GS. Anyone have any experience with salaries, exit ops, etc. pressured between taking the return and looking for something with more optionality.

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. I’m working in a large fund; market neutral public market strategy funds; am about to be recommended for a promotion to associate. However, an analyst position just opened up internally in Credit, which is where I aspire to be for the next ten years. More growth and more intellectual challenge. I have been selected into ZS for the BTAC role under CCM(Customer-Centric Marketing). My YOE is 3.8 in Cognizant, and the domain is ETL, DW, cloud(AWS).

My question is, ZS is giving a great package compared to what I have in Cognizant (Above 100% hike), and Cognizant is ready to retain me by giving somewhere 50%-60% hike. Will ZS be a good choice for me to switch? In terms of growth, technologies, work, pay. Or should I accept what cognizant is giving and get retained?

Unfortunately was dragged into an audit despite the fact I don’t work in audit. Why does audit RM say yeah your hours will be 50 hours/week when you’ll have to work way more to do the audit. Seems very dumb - if you have work do it, if not don’t work…

Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s.
