Lol tracking the Dow for layoffs has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard
Layoffs at Deloitte are definitely coming, especially in consulting. They let everyone hang around on the bench as long as we are meeting plan. Consulting missed plan this period so, watch the heads roll!
Man, I wish I worked at KPMG or PwC
Why did I get hired when the markets where low in 2015, and PwC was on a hiring spree? And you trying to call when a cycle ends is painful. If you really believe that cash out you 401k and go short.
Correlation <> Causality
What has been the deal with Big 4 layoffs? Have seen some posts from Deloitte esp, also wondering if EY or others have been affected?
Any idea how far off plan? It seems like a ton of firms (maybe all?) set unsustainably ambitious plans and hired to suit...
Yes, my specific region and group is 20% off this period 😳
So, yes? I'm not arguing it's one or the other.
It was actually pwc folks who got pushed out literally the Monday after the market dropped to a 2016 low...
I don't know, I hope they are not wondering the same. And yes, I got a small short position.
That said, just this period
I've heard Deloitte layoffs are going to be brutal this year.
I've heard if the SP500 breaks 2300 we will get a bonus equal to our salary.
Anyone outside of Deloitte looking for HC consultants :)
Layoffs won't happen in Tech
