Guys, Off the topic !
I bought a flat, but it didn't come with 4 wheeler parking, so I had to park on the street outside the apartment. However, the builder still has three closed parking spaces available. Could anyone recommend a negotiated price or a percentage off the flat rate for covered parking?
Thanks.

I don’t know if sadness is the right word. But it definitely feels misguided. Meritocracy does not exist in a pure form anywhere let alone in the workplace. So the idea that taking away DEI initiatives is going to “return us to meritocracy” is bogus in my view. What I think you will get instead is a system that hires employees with characteristics favored by leaders and the end result will be a more homogeneous workforce that is not necessarily the most qualified.
I somewhat agree with you. I think where I differ is the culture shift. Yes, the culture has shifted such that workplaces are more open to a variety of people. But that does not mean that things can’t shift back in the other direction. This is especially true when people in power suggest that DEI is bad and that what we had before was better. Companies fold under pressure just as easily as individuals do and it would not surprise me to see a true regression in progress because the cultural sentiment shifts back in the opposite direction.
