Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

I understand this might sound a little snobby but I'm not trying for it to come off that way. I've been around impressive people throughout my adult life. T-14 and big law have placed me in the company of some really accomplished individuals. It likely skewed the bar in terms of what I find as impressive.

I think there should be more males caretakers in this world. Some of my clients just feel more comfortable with a guy and it's kind of sad how often they say I'm the only male they could find.

One of my friend was asked to resign because she got pregnant . They specifically told her that they have strict policies and need complete commitment and you are not fit for the current role owing to your health. Last week I got automated call from infosys and asked few details . After that I got call from hr and said my interview is scheduled on next week and very next day one person called me and asked few technical questions .she said she's calling from infosys and this is technical screening round . Today same hr called and said she will be scheduling a client interview.
