As a service leaver why is it so difficult to get past the first filter?

Maybe my CV is not strong enough or I am not portraying my service career in a civilian context well enough, I don' know, what i do know is i have sent my CV off to be proof read again.

I am looking in the Risk management or Business Continuity Management areas.

just food for thought for recruiters, please give feedback to service leavers so they can promote themselves better next time.

You need an ATS friendly resume. Utilize chatGPT. Paste the job description and upload your resume. Tell it to optimize it to be ATS Friendly. I made it past the filter on all 3 jobs and got two interviews from 1 of those 3. Wonsulting is a good resource too.
