As much as I talk about wanting a man to take care of me financially, I have way too much pride to allow it when it actually happens

I think you want the safety net feeling of it being possible, but not to actually have someone take care of you

like

It might honestly be this! I still wanna be spoiled tho 😭

Op- my wife was exactly the same when we first met. As life moved forward (houses, kids, school, sports, etc) she decided that she would take care of all the home/kid stuff and I would support her with that half of our life and she supports me while I take care of the financial half of our life. She takes care of me and I take care of her just in different ways.

Why can’t the man and woman take care of each other financially/spoil each other?

That’s modern day women for you

I just like knowing that a man would give me anything I could want financially (vacations, luxury items, fancy meals). Don’t actually care much for them…

That’s awesome!

Feel that

Pride is the devil

Same.

I feel like I’m the opposite lmao I keep saying I want to be independent but if a millionaire wanted to provide financial stability it wouldn’t be the *worst* if I had the option to quit my job 😅

Being raised by parents that always insisted on the fact that they could make all the decisions in the house because we weren’t paying for anything, I feel like I want to be as independent as possible because I don’t want anyone to make any choice for me

Smart.

This is one of my favorite couples from the show. While Steven was quite immature during the show, it seemed like he was just young and wanted to be a good dad. They've been together as a family for a while now, he has taken up yoga to manage his temper issues, she has a career on the side as a photographer and they seem happy. I hope their social media is a true representation of their lives and I hope they are truly happy together with their little son 😊

Been seeing a guy for a few months now and I can’t stop myself from getting in my head. I’ve never been in a solid relationship before like this and I’m afraid I’m going to mess it up. We’re together most nights and some nights I need a night off or some space, but when I don’t hear from him I get paranoid that I did something.
I don’t know how to just let things be and feel we’re as good as I know we are.

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.
