Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

18 weeks paid for all new parents, plus 6-8 weeks additional if you are a new parent who gave birth.
No official ramp down/up in terms of reduced hours (though we don’t have a minimum) , but expecting parents are assigned a ramp up/down “mentor” (if desired) who advises on how to work with your teams to ease your transitions, and find work after returning.
Just as an FYI the federal government doesn’t have paid parental leave until 10/1/2020. It previously didn’t exist.
Just as an FYI the new program is only for federal workers—employees in the private sector won’t receive anything under the new policy.
The closest thing private employees have to pay on account of becoming a parent is the federal child tax credit.
Mid sized regional northeast (180 attys in 5 offices); 16 weeks regardless of parent, full pay, ramp up and down, can take some, not all, of that leave in separate parts or staggered (week on week off).
Large Midwest-based national firm. 6 weeks full pay paternity, 12 weeks full pay maternity. Ramp up is 50% of goal for 4 weeks after return.
Mid sized / Los Angeles / 2 weeks paid aside from state and federal benefits / no ramp up or ramp down.
Small law firm of 10 lawyers (former firm) - SEUS - 6 weeks paid leave. Unsure what you mean by state/federal pay. Not big enough for FMLA at any rate so I took the 6 weeks
Mid sized firm in NJ no paid leave. State disability for 6-8 depending on the birth type and then family bonding from the state for a few weeks. I paid into a private disability plan to supplement the pay cut.
NY biglaw: primary caregiver gets 16 weeks, secondary gets 12. Ramp up and down. Pro rated bonus
