I refuse to ever go into an office 5 days per week on a consistent basis ever again. My current company has stated we will be hybrid going forward, but if they go back on that I guess I’ll have to start looking for a new job
Chief
It would take A LOT of money for me to take a job that isn’t comfortable with me working primarily remote.
That said, I’m totally fine with agencies that expect their employees to be able to be in the office on short notice.
Yeah, commuting distance notice. I get that. I still plan on living within a train ride of the office for the long term.
I moved during covid to be closer to family. If my company requires in-office I’ll be finding a new job.
I’m not convinced. I miss interacting with my co-workers in person. I’m tired of being on zoom all day. I like visiting Manhattan a few times a week. I’m sure there are also businesses who rely on the work crowd.
This will probably give us a little more flexibility than we already had (and we already had a lot of flexibility compared to other industries). But if you never want to step foot in an office again, I’m sure there are a few people who would be happy to show up in your place.
I think ad agencies are going to lose all their best talent to tech and client roles if they keep equating butts in a seat with productivity. Most corporate and tech jobs have very clear goaling and you can prove your impact since they actually have performance reviews that are regular and matter. There is no world in which I will be going into an office 5 days a week ever again.
Same. If they’re not going to be flexible, I will be resigning.
