Before how many days of joining PWC SDC Kol can I expect the laptop?
Also, There was no joining date on my offer letter neither I have any document containing my joining date….I just have a confirmation over an email from the HR and can see my insurance benefits w.e.f. date on workday portal.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. Benefits Question: how is the health insurance where you are? How does your employer handle it?

This has become one of the most important things when interviewing for me. My last employer went from having no insurance option to giving us one terrible plan that they contributed 50% towards. My current employer works with Gravie so we get so much per month and can use it towards any plan on the marketplace. Only thing that sucks is the contributions are post-tax so it counts as income.

How much is “market” comp for a 5th year, general civil lit, AmLaw 200 defense firm with usual benefits (health, dental, 401k match up to 6%). I’m LA based. TIA

We give 16 weeks paid for “primary caregivers “ and 6 weeks for “secondary “ caregivers. I want to advocate for everyone to get at least 12 weeks.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
