1. Create a developer edition org you maintain with genericized versions of stuff you've built to solve client/company problems with which you can demo, at user groups/conferences/interviews.
2. Network. Connect with your colleagues and clients on LinkedIn, attend local user/dev/architect groups, attend World Tour when it comes by, visit the booths, learn the apps and services, intro yourself, etc. Also spend time on the Trailblazer Community answering questions and participating in relevant groups, and maybe Discord (SFXD) and Slack (OhanaSlack and others)
The rest is the stuff you already know...do your job well, get relevant certs, have a good resume, hone your interviewing skills, and so on.
Participate in an end-to-end implementation at a large client.
Break something. Not joking here.
Learn from others who follow best practices and standards. There’s sometimes more than one way but you want to find the most optimal and scalable solution.
The more you do the more you learn… the more you learn the more skills you have… apply that framework to SF Products and features. Most people have no clue how to configure… be that exception.
