Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Apply and get an offer, then accept the offer
M7
I never heard of M7. Have an MBA from another school and somehow am doing just fine at BCG.
MBA or referral
Marry in.
Do an MBA from a top school
For anyone who doesn't know what m7 is (which is still shocking to me), here is the list: HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, Booth, MIT Sloan, Columbia. If you don't know what HBS is, plz die.
Depends on your region. If US, then you probably need an MBA, if Europe, then you could try to just apply, MBAs are not always needed. In both regions a strong academic background is the prerequisite.
Never heard the reference before Fishbowl. It's not distinction many senior people care about.
Harvard MBA. Down play the b4 experience
Reincarnation
How do people not know what M7 is??? M7 are the top 7 b schools in the United States.
Know people
MBA. Don't know what M7 is but we recruit at more than 7 b schools. Most big 4 experience is looked at positively. If undergrad academics solid you'll get an interview - harder part is getting an offer.
My path was big 4 advisory > corp finance at well known hedge fund > m7 >BCG
What is M7?
To be clear, M7 is the seven schools whose administrators meet and share best practices.
It can obviously be argued that some other schools are better than, say, Columbia (Tuck and Haas come to mind), but those administrators aren't in the meetings
I never heard of "M7" or "burner" until FB. And I don't feel any smarter now that I know.
I hadn't heard of M7 either- just HSW.
From what I heard, from advisory to MC is hard, let alone MBB. Best approach is to get into M7 MBA and then try out campus recruiting
