FWIW, this was not my experience at all. Had a very prompt and professional interviewing and offer process.

Nope. I was referred for the job, but I don’t think that should make any difference.
I work in EY FAAS and I'm now helping with recruiting. Surprised to hear you had such a bad experience. I know things have been super busy for our leadership and maybe that's why they took so long?! 🤷

Out of curiosity, long with what specifically? The comp part is annoying but fine. I have a major problem with trying to remap me to a completely different office I didn’t have any interest in and essentially declined to interview for the first time around when I was initially speaking with the recruiter. I’m assuming they all just agreed that they’d try this after telling me they’ll give me an offer first.
They did that to you recently? Did they at least offer you something in return?

Doesn’t seem like it?
Is it possible that the recruiter is an idiot and messed up the paperwork?
Pro
I doubt it because I was told they were discussing this with leadership for me to be remapped only while I’m not near my interview location

FAAS is regional? I thought it was a national practice

Apparently it’s regional lmao.
EY’s recruiting team is quite notorious for bad reasons lol… that’s how I ended up being here. Just other big 4s are quicker than them
Pro
It’s not really the speed that’s the issue, it’s being lied to about where I’m working and what I’m applying for.
