Hi fishes! My spouse is planning to go to India but we would need to get her visa stamped before coming back. I see that getting appointment is such a huge problem right now. Can we get her visa stamped from a different country? In this case, we were considering Qatar, she grew up there and has her brother there. For what it’s worth she qualifies for Dropbox in India. Nah, only if you watch Fox News. Biden's approval rating is rock solid and hasn't moved for 6 months. His main shortfall is reneging on his progressive campaign promises. The progressive left will torpedo Biden and the Dems will lose the House if he doesn't address the eviction moratorium or pass a healthcare bill.
Side note: Saying Dr. Fauci has a 'nefarious plot' makes you sound like a conspiracy theorist.

I'd argue that Biden's fumbling of the eviction moratorium and federal aid is really gonna turn Dems against him. The Trumpers already hated him and that isn't changing. It's his failure to enact progressive policy promises that is damaging his base.

You can’t have a coherent strategy when dealing with a incoherent population. 60% of the GOP still thinks Trump won and most of the unvaccinated still won’t get the vaccine despite the evidence that 99% of those hospitalized and 100% of COVID deaths are unvaccinated.
I think it’s way more like 5% than 60% for the Trump “win”

Yikes this didn’t age well. Inflation check. Debt/deficit super charging reconciliation bill check. Reinstatement of Trump immigration policies after an implosion at the southern border check. Afghanistan was a new one though.
Does Biden have any path back from this or is he Carter mk2? If the Republicans weren’t still slaves to the orange idiot I’d say absolutely not… as they are maybe evens?

That’s why Biden has such positive polling… oh wait… I wouldn’t be all that confident on reconciliation either.
On the positive side, he’s had the benefit of an incredibly low bar to exceed (thanks Donald for redefining the minimum expectation of a US President) and a crises for which he inherited the perfect response (thanks Donald for Operation Warpspeed - you did do somethings right). The bipartisan infrastructure bill offers a glimmer of hope that the our government can function again when competency and compromise are in play.
On the negative side, vaccine hesitancy was clearly going to be an issue and I’m amazed more ground work wasn’t being done. Yes there sabotage from the crazy fringes but I think the lack of coherent strategy in mitigating this and a more bipartisan approach to messaging could have addressed this. More importantly for mid terms the trifecta of runaway inflation (while the dems and trying to pull a reconciliation bill to pump even more cash into an overheating economic recovery), rising crime and out of control immigration point to a perfect storm.
My real worry is that the Republicans still haven’t detoxed from the last administration. Signs point to a favorable electoral platform - I just hope they are pushing a credible agenda.

In extremely close races, like we saw in Arizona and Georgia last year, a few thousand people not making it to the mid-terms can absolutely swing the results of elections.

You might want to read a little more closely. I guess you were all ready to pull the QOP trigger… only I was criticizing both sides (hint: the clue is in the /). Fauci is no saint nor is he the mastermind behind a Chinese plot to infect the world.
As an independent I find it interesting that both sides have the same narrow perspectives and are all to happy to go on the attack. Maybe before you all jump in ready to charge at your respective political nemeses you take time to read.
