I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The Genius Life by Max Lugavere - encompasses all of those. I listen to his podcast by the same name and it’s really great/informative - haven’t read the book yet but my friend loved it and have seen other great reviews.

I just finished listening to What I talk about when I talk about running by Haruki Murakami on audiobook. I really loved it, especially bc I just started running.
You don’t need to read anything. You know what to do. It’s not that complicated. Just do it. Fine I’ll tell you:
1. Stop eating so much
2. Stop drinking so much
3. Sleep at least 7 hours
4. Exercise 30 min each day
5. Meditate 10 min each day
6. Be present in every moment
7. Be kind without expectations
8. Breathe mindfully for a minute every hour
9. Go to the dentist twice a year
Essentialism.

I liked Gamechargers by Dave Asprey. Keep in mind, he’s a biohacker so his ideas are somewhat extreme in cases. It’s at the very least an interesting book on health, the body, and cognitive function.
