IMAGINE any other industry where if a customer asked where a product they paid for was, the response is ‘don’t really know.. can’t see it… maybe we’ll have it tomorrow/ maybe not’

It’s crazy right now. I’m heading to Italy next week and putting AirTags in my luggage
Update, my luggage is “lost” I know where it is because of the AirTags but delta doesn’t 😦
Years ago I was flying back home from Europe - in first class (on miles) with a stop over at JFK where we cleared customs. When we got home contents of our luggage had been stolen. Somehow we noticed this before we left the airport. We went to the airline luggage office to file a claim and they told us they had no liability but offered us $50 for our trouble. I refused to take the $50 and wrote a letter to the company. They responded that they had no liability. Then I wrote a letter to the congressional representatives on the transportation committee about how this is a security risk and airlines don’t care because they have no liability so they just let their employees steal from customers. I sent copies of my letter to each of the airline’s board members. Two days later I got a call from a VP at the airline asking me how much money they could send me to fix this.
Take hand luggage- pray they don’t put it in the Hold!
Your first mistake was flying those airlines. Your second mistake was checking a bag. Your third mistake was boarding the plane when they downgraded you.
