Oh lord. This sounds like a toxic situation. I would talk to your performance manager about this. They can technically move you to another engagement but this just doesn’t sound like a good situation in general and you should lean on your performance manager to manage up
Feel free to DM me
Agree this managers behavior constitutes an HR violation, OP, document this in case they turn on you. With it documented, the company will think twice before they do anything to you, as it means potential lawsuit
HR will help you- find the right person.
Involve your career counselor! And try to get the threat on tape to avoid a he-said-she-said situation, unless you already have the threat in email format. The manager might say you are just misinterpreting feedback. Maybe use a voice recorder app on your phone. This way, if the manager denies it, you have proof, and the manager's credibility is shot.
HR email - start drafting
🤣that’s a ridiculous statement. If she/he has the proof then they cannot stand up for shit.
Raise to your counselor /and leadership.
Second D1’s comment. Talk to your career counselor on this - moving to the next project might just do the trick. I see plenty of analysts who don’t do well on one project but totally rock on the next engagement.
Talk to your cc and talk to your HR. I had something similar and I got rolled off the project within three weeks. Accenture is pretty good like that.
If that manager is your CC you can request to have your CC changed. You can even find your own CC by finding someone you gel with, get their ok and inform hr.
To answer your question, no manager does not have the power to fire you. Even your cc don't have the power to fire you. But they can give you bad feedback at performance review and eventually it gets bad enough. But still really hard to fire someone that's chargeable.
