I am 100% faithful to Carmex
Dr. Dan’s - the only thing that works for me and I’ve tried all of the above.

I’ve resorted to lip sleeping masks for my daily/regular use. You’re “supposed” to use them to hydrate when you sleep but my lips get very dry during winter too. This is what I use: LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask: Nourish & Hydrate with Vitamin C, Antioxidants, 0.7 oz. https://a.co/d/aqrPAYI
Yes to laneige and aquaphor for the lips !
None of the above have worked for me. So if they don’t for you too, check out Cliniques Moisture Surge (the pink tube). I’ve been using it for years and nothing beats it.
You need to find an active ingredient that works for you - beeswax/petroleum products don’t do anything for me, but I’ve found lanolin products do! I love the brand Lanolips!
Honestly, I swear by the original Burt’s Bees. If they’ve gotten bad I’ll use a little bit of Eucerin’s original cream before bed.
Yes, Laniege is the only sleeping mask I've used so far, and it keeps my lips hydrated when I wake up; however, I also find myself needing to exfoliate my lips.
For daytime use, I like using the lip balms from Fresh and Tatcha.
The Aquaphor Lip Repair is good and I normally put an occlusive over it like Vaseline Rosy Lips. https://www.aquaphorus.com/products/lip-care/lip-repair-35oz

Kosas lip balm in clear! I put this on before sleeping and wake up with soft lips. I use throughout the day. Sleeping with a humidifier is also key.

Just ordered the lip mask and the Clinique surge! Fingers crossed. Thank you all!

I use Burt’s Bees and also one I get from Walmart but don’t know the brand. I am allergic to spf so I can only use lip balm without sunscreen.
Try the Everon lip balm from Weleda. Only one that has ever worked for me!
Stay away from anything with coconut oil in it. I have found that it dries my skin out massively especially my lips. I make my own mix and it is great but lots of ingredients. It’s basically a body butter with lots of different oils and butters. Nourishing and hydrating. If you don’t want to make your own look for products with cocoa butter, jojoba oil, Shea butter, etc. with all organic ingredients if possible.
Weleda. But do you drink electrolytes? If not, I’d definitely recommend. Also, maybe allergies. My lips would be dry and peeling all the time. Turns out I was allergic to citrus and tomatoes. I rarely use chapstick now.
I had allergy testing at my ENT/allergist’s office. You might even notice on your own if you don’t eat or drink something for a few days that your lips are better. But yeah, allergies can cause all kinds of bonkers reactions. I hope you figure out what’s causing it!
Goop (Gwyneth Paltrow) lip balm works well for me. I also like Aquaphor and L’Occitane shea butter lip balm.
CeraVe Healing Ointment saved my lips!
Exfoliating is key- simply rubbing them during a long hot shower will pull off that dry layer that prevents anything from helping
And what do you put on for the first coat right after your shower will also matter more than what you use all day- I suggest staying away from wax & petro-based products, ; food grade oils (olive, coconut) Will absorb better
My favorite night balm
Ultra replace lip therapy
Hyaluronic acid lip booster
Btw I use those ^ based on info in this article :). A lot of the other commonly used chapsticks don't have the best ingredients.

You don’t need to spend astronomical amounts for this. The board certified Derm website has all the info you need. Very basic ingredients!
Palmers cocoa butter lip balm sticks
I know it’s old school but Carmex is my go to. Have seen the beauty influencers pushing lip oil but haven’t tried it yet.
