I have received an offer from PA Consulting , which I think will speed up my development by around 2 years, compared to staying where I am. (More diverse role, exposure, not just focused on one platform/product for which I currently am). In addition, the offer is also a large increase in package. I have only been at my current company for 6 months, however I would like to take the offer, how do I approach this?

I feel like I cannot break out of this admin force field and move myself up. I’ve worked along side executives, CEOs, MDs where I often did a lot of their work to assist - I mean that’s what an EA is, but I can never get myself into those roles even as a junior because I get passed over for not having experience.
Any ideas on what I can do so I’m not just sitting in this crappy admin bubble until I retire??
I’ve seen plenty of people go from an EA role to moving into project management office / project admin roles, then pivoting into project management or risk management roles.
There are EA to the CEO type roles that will go for 100k to 130k. While it’s still EA work, it’s a good increase on your current work. Not sure what they look for in terms of experience.
I have also worked with EAs who have retrained in other forms of work. Check with your current work if they have any learning support. You might even have access to great, accredited online training.
Good luck.
