You ever match someone on Tinder, have a great back and forth, starting thinking there might be something really there, make plans, get ghosted without explanation, start questioning yourself and what you said, eventually get over her/him, receive a response out of the blue, rinse and repeat? But then you end up with that person after a looooong time
Depends on the group. Right now mine does recruiter, phone for technical, phone for business (sometimes), in person with two or three folks including partner if they’re around, otherwise video with the partner
Just went through this process with their analytics group. It was phone screen—>Technical screen with a Manager from S& (asked questions about R, data warehouses, etc.)—> in person interviews (three rounds, behavioral, technical and partner chat). Whole process was 3ish months, vernal was a few days after in person rounds, formal about a week later. Ended up declining.
Strictly $$. I had a very positive experience with PwC and very much enjoyed the folks I interacted with.
PWC2, is the technical interview just getting more in depth with what’s on your resume ?
“Technical” is broadly defined by the evaluation framework. In the case of my group we’re actually asking about the technologies we consult on. For others it can be more around how you learn, how you interact with resources, etc
What position are you applying for? And group? If it’s a technical group, yes, the interviews get technical. Depends on the interviewer as well - I tend to ask technical questions if we’re hiring for a SA role, and more leadership and behavioral questions if hiring for a manager role
Cyber Risk Experienced Associate is the position I’m interviewing for.
Damn, so grateful for campus hire.
D1, what was your reason for declining ?
Technical interviews are pretty much talking about subject matter; it's basically a case in which you will have to analyze and come up with a technical recommendation.
