Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
Hi, I got a offer from HCL stating that joining within a month. As per my company policy - 60 days NP. I tried a lot for buyout option and leave adjustment in my current company. I didn't get any positive response. I'm in a confused state. Could anyone help me with suggestions. ThanksCognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture Infosys Wipro

I would think the policy applies when you give birth and have not done a year yet, not when you get pregnant.
Doesn't ey have unlimited pto? Why can't you just do 12 weeks of pto?
Correct. That’s true at most companies. You could always talk to hr and figure out options though
I think you get some months off, not full 16 months. Check with HR for exact details.
Well, at a minimum federal law guarantees 12 weeks of job protected unpaid leave and I venture to say that EY’s short term disability plan is going to pay you for that time, but may not be at 100% for all 12 weeks. I don’t think any of the big 4 firms’ disability plans have vesting periods before you become eligible. You should be eligible from day 1. Beyond maternity leave meeting the definition of medical disability (typically 12 weeks), you’re subject to whatever other leave policies EY has in place.
Other firms may have lesser requirements (6mo) shop around if you have time.
Curious to see how this resolved for OP, as I just found out my spouse will be giving birth less than a year after I start.
