I moved from FTE at a big brand tech company to a contract role in a smaller big tech with an aged brand. It's a good move because I'll learn a ton in the new org and now actually have better career prospects. Still, the brand and stigma for contracting are making me feel insecure :/

2020: AE making less than $50k a year no comm.
June 2021: Accepted Sales Manager position at another company with salary of $75k plus comm.
Sept 2022: Just accepted Sales Director position at another company with salary of $150k plus comm.
I'm not suggesting job hopping is the answer, but in my experience strategic leaps have consistently awarded me more pay and higher titles. Thoughts?

My resume has been getting pickup by recruiters because of my Accenture brand and the ironical phone screening usually is along the lines of “perfect, I’m going to send this to our hiring manager. I’m sure we will be going on to scheduling interviews after your resume is reviewed by the manager.” Fast forward two days and I receive an automated response “thank you for applying to XYZ we have decided to move on” why am I not even getting an interview? This sucks
