I am in a process of receiving offer from citi, its almost 43% hike on cctc.
What is the appraisal cycle in citi? and if I dont complete a year before appraisal ,is there any default hike that they provide?

This is my first offer and I dont want to go for any service based companies. Citi is a good firm according to me and I dont want loose the offer because of over negotiating

I'd have a discussion with a partner you trust at your current firm to understand what comp looks like for them.
Partner doesn't pay the same everywhere, so it's possible you could make more at B4 without ever making Partner than you would at your current firm.
Greatly appreciate the everyone's feedback. Making the jump would result in a significant upside in comp right away - comparable to a band 1 partner. The idea of starting to over is not ideal but also see the potential of the new opportunity vs current.

Why would you throw away all the hard work, networking and partnership to go to another firm and redo it. It will take longer is very optimistic, it may not happen at all.
Partnership is the biggest carrot of consulting. I’m not sure what is the pro of leaving it to join another firm
Yeah I’d wait to make partner at your current firm and then think about switching. Not worth it to throw away your entire network and support system when you’re this close to it

Are you SURE your firm has you on a partner track?
To be honest, starting Partner pay is also less robust at BDO since the ESOP etc. The answer to your question is not simple, pro srvcs is a rapidly changing industry now that PE is involved (amongst other things). What is your gut telling you about the offer.
If you’re at RSM, jump ship. New partner model is not a well thought out model, and doesn’t compensate new partners that well. Avg RSM new partner will make 250-325 max and a band 1 partner, B4 starts at 500 or higher.
