Lol I I dream of doing the same. Do you have 100k of trading money? If not, will be VERY tough to make a living off it.

like

Have about 30k put aside for investment purpose.

Test the job market for open positions. Do day trading on the side, not full time

I tried this. I lost $30k and quit. Good luck though!

Is this a flex? It’s ur money dude , do what u will with it

Work at Big 4. I have been approached by mid tier firms about interviewing for Partner positions. I am considering starting this process, but would like to get some different perspectives from others. I am probably 2 years away in current situation based on recent discussions.

I just got laid off. I currently work as an IT program manager. I'm looking to transition from industry to consulting where I can leverage my experience to solve complex client problems. I'd appreciate referrals!

Anyone feel like it took them longer to come into their own as associates? I was a terrible junior, I got fired from my job at a small plaintiff firm. They told me that I don’t have the “mental acuity to be a lawyer,” but as a fifth year at a V30 something just clicked. I just got the first positive evaluation of my professional life. I have a December birthday and this is the first time in ages that I can go into it not feeling hopeless.

I was in the final round of interview with Amazon right before the layoff news came out. A week later, I got an “incline” offer for the position that I’m applying to. Can anyone share their experience and tell me what that “incline” means? Retail Operations getting hit. I wonder if this opening will still be available. If so, I got an offer later. Will this be a hire to fire case?

Unethical Persona Finance Tip:

Put your mortgage on forbearance and stack up and save as much as you can. We don't know when this will be over, the forbearance won't hurt your credit score (yes, you will pay interest), but when all said and done you can save 6 months to 1 year of your most important expense in case 💩 hits the fan.

Nothing hits the fan, you would have saved enough to probably put the down-payment on that vacation home you always wanted to get.

Just started my first job out of college. What percent of my income should I put towards retirement? I’m planning to max out my Roth (as I’ll reach the income limit in a few years) then put some in my 401k. My company does not match anything but automatically puts 5% in a profit sharing retirement fund.

Hi sharks,
I had appeared for an interview in juniper networks a couple of weeks ago, two rounds were successful and HR called back. She asked for the expected CTC and i conveyed my expectations. She said she will get back to me after the approval for numbers from senior management. It will take 2-3 days.

That was the last week. I don't have her mail ID, because all incoming mail from juniper are auto mails. But their career portal shows status as "selected for offer" suggestions please.

I was just promoted to senior. I would like to leave public after obtaining my CPA/having a busy season as a senior under my belt. PA wrecks havoc on my anxiety and I don’t know how long I can realistically last in this position. This might be horrible to say but I would honestly love a job with structured hours (ie just the basic 9-5, maybe some overtime here and there but not the norm/expected) and the work is also very boring/similar day to day. Can anyone recommend positions that fit this?
