I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

This job market really is so tough. Outside of CPG, you might have luck in tech (especially UX research), edtech, or corporate social responsibility. For skills, data analysis, project management, and financial modeling can open doors. I wouldn't count out the public sector still but you're probably right to be cautious about it. I'd say healthcare industry could be a good route too, it's always expanding.
*As for the skills part, I wonder if taking related classes and extracurriculars is even enough to convince employers to hire us, unless they're smaller employers. Congrats, we did a few data analysis courses, but how does that compare to an engineer or scientist?
Maybe a good time to go for a master’s degree to help you pivot?
Oh yeah, I'm in a dual degree MBA and Masters program now, but the other Masters program's professional prospects aren't looking great because of this administration... I'm wondering how to pivot in the year I have left for summer internships and FT recruiting. :/
