Anyone here use the recruitment agencies? How was your experience? Is it easier to land a job through them? Any effect on comp?
Hello, I am a new grad with a doctorate in OT. I just got an offer for a job working at a private school. The offer is 58K with benefits. 15 days PTO. Do you guys think I can negotiate the salary to 70K, which based on my research is the average pay for my level of experience and education? Or is that too much to ask?
I am currently in the running for a supervisor position within my current brokerage. This position would include keeping all my current responsibilities as an account manager along with supervising up to eight coworkers. Has anyone gone through this before? If so, what salary increase should I be expecting? Is it bad to negotiate a salary for a promotion within my current company?
Women in this field: have you ever asked for a raise and if so, please offer tips and advice. I started my position with my firm 2 1/2 years ago with zero experience and so I was started with an entry level salary. I have received two 2% raises, one annually per year that I’ve been here. I feel I have earned a salary raise being that I’m no longer entry level and am more of a paralegal than a legal assistant as opposed to when I first started.

Where I work, staff have long tenure. On the surface, everyone is pleasant, but if you scratch the surface, it’s very political and there a lots of hidden cliques. Real relationships are so deeply buried, they’re subterranean. People email rather than converse with each other, even when they’re besties. It’s exhausting trying to navigate the “polite” relationships whilst knowing there are hidden relationships everywhere I tread. How can I better navigate this situ? I’m baffled and tired
