One query, I have received an offer letter from Wipro (Career Group: C1) with package of 28 LPA, out of which INR 420000 is allocated as 'Variable Pay' which will be paid on quarterly basis'. I need an advice/suggestion here. I got an offer from 2 different organisations and choose one among them (Role: Analyst) because of the culture and benefits. And the other offer has a good pay and good designation (Associate Consultant) rather than the one I choose. Now i feel very low due to this decision that I took. Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

I have to fill out a background check form for a position and it asks if I've ever been discharged from a job. Does getting "the talk" --i.e. being told your future isn't at the firm as a senior associate--count as being discharged? Any thoughts are much appreciated!

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years).
