I have around 4 years of experience in C++...I got a new offer from a Product company For Java/Jswing role...Is it OK to change to different technology now...I am considering this offer as they are providing WFH.

Which is best to join between PWC AC Bangalore with permanent wfh and NTT Data business solutions with hybrid work. Salary is almost same : NTT data - 24 LPA fixed and no variable. Where as PWC 21 LPA fixed with upto 20% variable. YOE is 7 years in SAP SD functional consultant.

Been at Paychex(payroll) as a channel rep for 3 years. 70k salary and 110k max with commission. Love WFH but need more pay. Want to leave for more money, what's out there and what should I look into? I work I. Bay Area CA

YOE - 6 in Android development. I got an offer from MakeMyTrip Bengaluru 22L fixed + 2L joining bonus. I'm from hyderabad. MMT has hybrid work model and wants me to relocate so that I could appear in office twice in a week. They denied full remote opportunity. Given that some companies are providing full remote opportunities, is it still worth it to relocate for a job/career? I live in a rented flat in hyderabad which I need to vacate and find a new place in a new city bengaluru.

What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

I have newly joined KGS but still at home location wfh, i was told by a colleague that they received an invite for a New year party for all KGS employees on 20th dec, does anyone receive it? Can I attend it from a different office than the base branch?

The problem is that they’re looking to staff me as a Senior when I’m currently a Manager at DT. They said they’re flexible on title, but curious to hear how others have navigated similar situations. Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Living in my parents house, which NEEDS a makeover. What do you guys do to make your house look cozier? My parents house is tiny, low ceiling, and no seperate on between kitchen and the living room. It literally looks like a grandma house.

Can someone discuss the pros and cons of having a gym close to work vs having a gym near home but still would have to commute there, go back home then go to work. To me it seems more convenient to just on the way to work go to the gym, shower, then go into the office.
