Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

Happy wife happy life is a really toxic saying. I’m just shocked how this has become the standard saying for men in relationships. I have friends of mine saying this all the time, and I have just thought it’s so cringe and always want to say my thoughts on it but always decide to hold back. However, imagine the saying reversed - happy husband happy life - that would lead to all kinds of uproar. To me happy wife happy life means I need to sacrifice my wants and needs to make my wife happy.

What’s a good word for this feeling? Empathetic towards someone’s else’s circumstances but also feeling bad because you can’t share your joy.

My wife is a great mother. She, however, is not very physically affectionate and always has a million excuses. I crave physical affection both in the bedroom and in general. I’ve communicated this many times and nothing has changed. It’s driving me nuts and making me feel completely unwanted. I work hard for our family and try to do things around the house as well but often work many more hours overall. Not really sure the point of writing all this out, I just hate it.
