Need help understanding this colleague at work, who is really annoying me these days. She just joined my project team. Everytime I call her 1-1 for work, 50% of time I get 'I Dont knows'...
Moms specifically at Deloitte, I am 8 weeks pregnant and planning to tell the team right after July 4th weekend. I had a question on the administrative/procedural stuff - do I have to let anyone else outside or project team know? When do I have to start thinking about paper work? Who should I let know about the maternity leave?
I have a job, and I’m grateful that I do! But it makes me extremely unhappy. I’m talked down to constantly, our client treats us like we’re dumb and they have no trust for the creative team, and I’m constantly anxious. How do I find a new gig during these (forgive me for saying this) unprecedented times? Or what do I do/say if I want to switch accounts within my agency? I need some advice from other women who’ve been through this and succeeded at finding something that makes them happier.
I have 7.5 year of experience in Microstrategy BI tool. I have got offer from Accenture for 15.96LPA and 27% variable pay. I got another offer from infocepts for 16LPA fixed with 5% variable. Could anyone please help me guide which is better to join. As in Accenture I am told that I will have to work in 2-11 shift where I will be getting 10k extra. Infocepts I am not aware of the project they will put me in..

Client keeps inviting me to meetings but not the EM or anyone else on the team (who needs the information in the meeting). Should I keep forwarding invites to him/her or just let them address it?
Been on the bench since getting hired at my new firm in October. I’ve been able to do some great ML/data engineering work for an internal project but
Getting recruited for EY’s PCS (private client) dept. can anyone share their experience? What’s the day to day like
I switched from audit to consulting, and I thought I’d enjoy my job since I’m no longer ticking the box.. doing something that’s more challenging (what people said lol) .. helping the client etc etc but honestly the job seems pretty much the same. I still work on meaningless BS stuff. Is it because I’m not in ‘real’ (strategy) consulting? I do process improvement / CFO advisory. Or are all corporate jobs pretty much the same other than the pay / wlb (which is def. better)
Found out today the slide master we use from the client was from the previous BCG team (we are implementation). Looked at the doc owner and the original doc owner from years back was McKinsey!
Flying from client (chargeable project) to another city for BD work. Do you charge the project as part of round trip or BD? Scenario is home-> client -> BD -> home. Thanks!
Has anyone from MBB worked at the same client where there is one of the big 4 ? How are the dynamics between the two in that engagement?
Finally had a breakthrough in some code for a pet project I’ve been doing to try and bolster my github but have nobody to share it with. So here’s my exclamation of triumph: !

In-house fish need your advice: Was hired ~ 10 months ago to lead a 4 year web project. After months of planning and politics, project was canceled due to funding and scope. (Cont.)
I was asked by a friend for a few management consultant books (similar to liar's poker in the finance industry) to check out. The only one I can think of is Peter Drucker's Adventures of a Bystander (good but not too much consulting)... any suggestions! 😁
Fellow fishes, I don't have visa issues and in need of additional income... Any tips for side gigs that I can explore? Would love to try something in the customer service area? TIA!
One of my employees is the only one in the firm who knows how to use a critical piece of outdated software. I overheard them speaking about accepting a job interview. Should I get them to train another employee?
How do you handle attraction in the work place. During my summer internship I was really attracted to this girl I shared a office with. She was way out of my league so I didn't even attempt to ask her out or anything. Plus you don't hookup where you vlookup. During one of the days she wore a really short skirt and I got a bit aroused. Since my housing was really close, during lunch I went home and fixed the issue. How do you handle being aroused at work?
Interview with ZS SIPA coming up! Is there anything I should keep in mind for the interview? I’m pretty nervous. It’s 3 rounds, Behavioral/Structured Case/Unstructured Case. Thanks!
How to get a summer internship in the US in investment banking, as a european citizen? are there any websites to apply as foreigners? is it hard to find smth due to visa issues etc?
The belief that you should be able to move from HCOL to LCOL and not have to take a pay cut is ultimate in socioeconomic and geographic privilege and outright entitlement. Nobody is going to give LCOL a raise to move to HCOL. The work you do is the same, you produce the same value, bill the same rate as peers in another geography. Take a pay cut or give LCOL a significant raise.
When you put your 2 week notice in at the Big 4 as a staff level will you be shown the door immediately? If so, will you get paid?
Has anyone sponsored a child through Compassion International (or other charity)? What was your experience? I’ve always wanted to sponsor a child but want to make sure that donation is being used for right place/making direct impact to child’s life

Do you think agencies are hiring a larger percentage of freelancers to bypass their promises of improved parental leave, which are only available to full-time staff?
8 weeks later and I am still testing positive for covid. But since I am symptom free for over 3 weeks I can return back to work. They say I am not contagious...i do have antibodies. But I am still nervous about spreading it.
Getting ready to sign my contract and raise my right hand for National Guard. I have yet to tell my manager out of fear they try to let me go before I am “officially” in service.
What would you all say are the best consulting firms to work at in the federal government space? I’m not sure how many “prestigious” firms (like MBB) have a significant federal practice at all.
College kids need to stop putting on their linkedin title “virtual intern at Goldman Sachs, BCG...” those aren’t even real internships (I’m referring to those mock experiences offered by third-party websites, not talking about real interns who had to go virtual this year, not talking about leadership summits either which is a much different story)
WSGR San Diego or LA? Anyone have any insight into their corporate group in Southern California? Culture, hours, types of work? Thank you!!
