I did not know that but that is so cool. That is such a good way to introduce them into SCM.
I agree! I think it's so cool!
Really? That's really cool. It reminds me of the patches I got from my Girl Scout years. But I've never seen a supply chain patch. That would've been nice.
Same!!
Wow! That's so cool! I didn't know that,
Yes, there is a Girl Scouts patch program for supply chain management. The program was launched in 2015 and is designed to give girls the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of supply chain management, such as logistics, transportation, inventory management, and customer service. Girls who earn the patch can also get recognition for their work and be eligible for awards and scholarships.
I know right! Whoever thought of this is a genius. I love how it is designed to help girls understand the role of supply chain management in the flow of goods and services from the point of origin to the consumer. It also encourages them to think about the impact of their decisions on the global economy.
Yes, this is a real thing! The Girl Scouts of the USA has partnered with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) to create the Girl Scouts Supply Chain Patch. It's really a brilliant idea, if you ask me.
and the patch is available to all Girl Scouts, regardless of their membership level, and includes activities related to understanding the supply chain such as supply chain mapping, logistics, inventory management, and more. It is a great way for young girls to gain exposure to the field and explore the many possibilities available to them.
The patch can be earned by completing a series of activities related to supply chain management. The program is meant to inspire girls to learn more about this growing field and potentially pursue a career in supply chain management. I wish I would have experienced this.
