Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

As a civil engineer I received a 30% increase and a bonus
I should add that when I passed i also received my license.
Where I work a PE is just not needed much. My company encourages people to get it and also pays for it all, but there is no bump in pay. It can count as a year of service for some promotions.
I would make the distinction between passing the PE exam and then obtaining your PE license. I would expect a large raise once you have your license not necessarily when you’ve passed the exam, unless obviously these occur simultaneously.
I should clarify. It also depends on the type of engineering and the sector you work in. Not all PE’s are created equal. There is a large discrepancy in pay for a Civil Eng. who has their PE and one who doesn’t. Others like ME, it’s not that large of a difference.
Did your role change? Get more responsibilities?
We always celebrate when someone passes the test! What an accomplishment! Typically, there is a nice salary adjustment.
The company I was at when I passed my PE was a one time salary increase of $7500 and then I had actually passed it just before annual raise time so I got a promotion to go along with that so I went from I think like 73k to 84k-ish within a couple of months.
