Do they have PIPs where you work or do they just fire people? I put someone on a PIP once (they ended up leaving) and had the option of a PIP or a role change once (I took the role change.) Anyone here looking for a new job due to PIP?

Had been working as a BA/PM role at a financial firm for 3.5 years and decided to leave corporate to join my family’s small business with the mentality I’d take things over. It’s been a little over a year and I’ve come to the realization that it’s not for me. Im looking to transition myself back to IT/Tech, but am feeling apprehensive in getting the attention of recruiters with the industry switch. Any advice from anyone that’s been in a similar situation?

What kind of system do you use?

I'm developing this PC position at work (they've never had one) and I am forced to use the current ticketing system in place. The plan is to create tickets specific to tasks. I want to use a numbering system for cross referencing and basically visual organization. My Ops mgr isn't entirely on board and wants to know why we have to use a setup that works for me while those parts aren't necessarily for everyone.

I am a contractor at legato. Manager says he cannot proceed with full time conversion of my role as their is a hold on hiring at legato due to upcoming recession. Is he saying correct? Or there some other reason. Should I wait for sometime or start looking new opportunities taking it as no.

What’s the best way to deal with a partner that prefers working solo? For context, this writer I work with conceptualizes by himself, emails the Account team, gives deep input, and makes decisions for us without consulting with me (his “partner”) most of the time. BIA Briefs: I’m an associate at an immigration law firm. I determined that immigration isn’t for me So I gave the managing partner my 2 weeks. He wants me to wrap up some BIA briefs before I leave however I’m reviewing the record for a lot these and I’m seeing that a lot of the arguments for Asylum, Withhold, and CAT are incomplete.
