My whole fam is physical therapists and they get a lot of small gifts - cookies, coffee gift cards, etc. and are always so appreciative. Usually from long time patients
We gave something small (cookies/chocolates) along with a heartfelt hand written note about how much she had helped our son. I think those notes go a long way with the hard work they put in.
School Social Worker here. I would get gifts very sparingly and it was from parents I had a close working relationship with. I typically got Amazon gift cards, which went back into my student supplies shelves or closet/ or snacks or…? Always grateful but never expected.
We gave our son’s therapist a Christmas card with a small gift card. There’s no obligation to do so
My mom was a school speech pathologist and she got a few things each year especially from kids she had worked with extensively. Cookies and candy were always much appreciated by us but nice hand lotion or similar is good.
My son sees a private practice OT and we got her an amaryllis bulb and made some cookies. She seemed very surprised.
If you've developed a personal working relationship with them, why not gift them a Starbucks (or Target) gift card for their efforts.
Nope
Everyone loves a tin of popcorn or cookies.
I was told there are ethical concerns with giving large gifts, so i bought each therapist a box of truffles and a card.
