Hi fishes,
How is the wlb in Amex?
Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu
Hi everyone, I'm comparing two offers from Accenture and Cognizant. Could you help me figure out some of these questions: 1. At 5 YOE, what kind of package can I expect? Current offers: Accenture (12LPA fixed, 2.5L variable), Cognizant (14.3LPA fixed, 45K variable) 2. Nature of work - What kind of work can I expect from these companies? 3. would I get the opp to use any authoring Tools? 4. Work life balance - which is better? 5. Increments - avg % hike? 6. Culture - which is better?

Stop answering emails after 6pm. Folks began to get the hint after a while.
- signed an ex-Hulu employee :)
Ps the folks fawning over WD is hilarious. If you like constant layoff threats hovering over your day-to-day, sure DSS is ok. But they can get away with a lot when you produce a product with a cult following, and that includes the labor that staffs it. ( which is why OP is working late ;) )
That's a dream employer you got right there. Been basing all my projects and desertions on Disney I kinda know what it must be like.
Here's a gentle reminder on the basics I follow
1. Maintain a work list daily and cross off all the work you did during the day (kinda helps to tell yourself that you did clear off quite a bit during the day)
2. Try not to think of the next days work till you get there and start.
3. If it's keeping you up at night, might as well get it off the plate even if it beyond your working hours.. because peace of mind matters at home.
4. Try not make other people's half baked work your problem. If it's not complete, return it to them and give yourself a fresh deadline
5. Prioritize finishing your work over helping others with their work.
6. If things are getting out of control, raise it up with your manager and ask for help before it gets out of control.
7. If paper work for other departments take up alot of time, try suggesting a streamlined process or calculate the time into your days work.
8. Try to finish today's tasks today itself, coz you don't know how messed up tomorrow is going to be.
Does any of this help?
You work at Walt Disney?
Focus on the job you have in this market with such a big name employer. If it didn’t work I sacrifice my work life balance and switch with your stressful job. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌹
