I used to be a happy guy, then over the past 5 years of being in public accounting I’ve gradually turned super cynical and hopeless. HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? Tax Question:

I lived in VA for 8 months of 2019 and then moved to DC for the last 4 months. I got a federal and state refund from VA, but now owe DC “state” taxes because apparently they were not taken out of my paycheck. However, I changed my address in my firm’s system right when I moved... is this an issue on my firm’s part or did I screw something up?
