Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Rising Star
Big4 has already started some RIFs.
No doubt they will layoff people
Hope so
Haha no…just two years ago we saw what they’ll do when confronted with economic peril. They’ll stop giving bonuses and stop hiring. They don’t want to get rid of talent, especially now when it’s so hard to find talent
Look, all economic data shows us we aren’t anywhere close to an recession, and all talks of recession will likely disappear after the election
What is RIF?
Reduction in force
Yes, but only in certain practices. Even during COVID they all had a RIF.
Not all. Unrelated to Big4 but a recent article discussed how company’s are expected to hold on to employees through this cycle because they won’t be able to rehire when we come out.
I suspect that is how some will operate.
But you do t want to be a low performers.
Multiple cycles at PwC we reflected after doing layoffs that we would have been better off holding on to people. As you come out of the downturn clients want to start moving and they don’t have the people so they turn to consultants.
