Yes! My facility sent in an unused kit and it came back positive.
😂
COVID is NOT just a cold but symptoms are greatly reduced with every vaccine/booster. Yes, there can be false negatives and false positives.. take another test. PCR are more accurate than antigen. PCR is actually sent to a lab.
Yes a lot of false negatives, usually because they tested when the viral load is low, like in the first 3 days of symptoms. Day 5 is best.
Or they tested with an expired test!
There are a lot of "Flu-like virus" diagnoses going around right now. Short answer, they don't know what it is since everything is pinging negative.
Yes they can definitely show false negatives. I had a friend who took one at home and it said negative but she was so sick that she went to Urgent Care and turns out she had Covid. So I would say yes they can produce false negatives.
Yes. Very frequently. I tested 6 times. Pcr lab test first. Then several home tests spread out 24 to 48 hrs. 5th home test positive. By then I lost my voice completely!
Oh my god yes. Do not trust a single negative test because the rate of asymptotic infections just keeps rising. Im imunocompromised and covid is still a huge issue for me, and developing long covid has reduced my capacity to work as many hours as i used to and its not worth it. (Went from being able to work a 60 hour week to barely being able to do a 20 hour)
Ive found that what works best for me to be sure im not covid positive is when is to take 2 tests across 48/36 hours, along with generally implementing other mitigations (masking, using CPC mouthwash, xylitol nasal spray, ect)
