Do you think you have a strong online presence for when recruiters are looking for potential candidates for am open role with them? I tend to update my LinkedIn as much as I can but I can never make pretentious posts like other people do.

I never post (mostly just lurk) but I do update my summary or make other changes once in a while to keep it refreshed and it’s fairly optimized (lots of connections, endorsements, etc). I did get a short term contract gig from a recruiter reaching out and I do have recruiters reaching out fairly regularly. I’ve started commenting and liking people’s posts more and I think that helps as well.

It can help, but it can also hinder. You don’t wanna look like you’re someone who’s going to become the voice of the company if they don’t want that. I can appreciate when people wanna do the job rather than become a LinkedIn influencer.

Nope! I haven’t updated my LinkedIn since after the pandemic. I’m sure a few roles I might have missed. However, it hasn’t affected any interviews. Especially if you’re working remotely or freelancing you want to seem available. When recruiters dm me. I just reply with my updated resume. It’s more about key words & prior experience when they reach out. More so than current roles.

How difficult is it to juggle a remote role with a hybrid role?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.

Hello,

Long time fishbowl lurker, first time poster.

I work in Healthcare consulting (8 yoe). I'm incredibly passionate about Healthcare and have thought a lot about how to make meaningful changes that keep people healthy and how it can be affordable and accessible to all. I know Google has been operating in the Healthcare market. Anyone here open to connect so I can learn more about its current activities/future plans? I'd like to see if there's a role that I'd be a good fit for.

Thank you!

I recently transitioned from a small, boutique agency to a global agency — meaning I went from being on an account team of 2, to being on a team of 10+. I’m also not currently managing anyone (and I miss it!). I entered this new role promising myself to set new boundaries since I’m used to measuring my success by my stress level. However, old habits die hard. I feel underutilized six months into the role. How can I adjust to finally having support and resources after years of abuse?

I'm interviewing with KKR for a Principal role in their real estate group. All online salary resources are all in alignment with a total comp of $200k+. I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?

Does anyone know if principals are in cubicles or doe they get an office?

If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.
