For PwC fishes who left recently, how did you consolidate wealth builder into 401k within benefits express to avoid the 20% federal tax withholding that was described in the benefits package? I tried to do this online but it didn’t show as an option except to rollover to an existing IRA or take a final distribution. Do I need to call benefits express?

Hi guys, I’ve a query so I’m already in discussion with Deloitte India and got a call from Deloitte USI. So if I would’ve to choose btw these two given the salary and designation offered is almost same. Which one should I prefer India or USI?
Can Deloitte folks guide me what are the pros and cons working with either entities. Thanks!

No. It just makes life mostly easier.
Not even close, but I’m still trying to get rich just like most of us

No, but others do derive my worth from my net worth.

100% yes. I am incredibly insecure 😃
Yes and I don’t make much 🥺
Definitely not.
Yes - very insecure. How do I move past this?

Not really because sometimes salary is more determined by your industry/size of company than your skill sets/experience. I could be in big tech making $200K but make $120K for the same role in CPG. Or settle somewhere in between in consulting.
Haha no, I’m saying my self-worth would be the same making $120K or $200K. How highly I think of myself has more to do with titles and project impact. I definitely care about money but after about $120K it has diminishing returns.

Ya. Status is highly correlated with happiness. High income generally - albeit not always - is from high status jobs. We’re all monkeys trying to be on the top of the social hierarchy.
Nothing wrong with admitting that. And no amount of self help books will overcome this biological reality.
JPM I really, really, really don’t want to agree with you, but I do. Deep deep down, this drive to climb the social hierarchy, gain respect and resources, is what motivates the vast majority of us from a biological perspective.
On a positive note, it’s what drives the human race forward and enables progress.

Yes. I’m very unhappy though which has resulted in feeling low about myself. I am actively going to therapy to work through this!
A lot of it yea (more than I’d like)
No.
No one who truly cares about you cares what you make. But they are the ones who you truly mean something to. Define yourself based on how to treat and value these people.
I measure my self worth through happiness. The more happy I am, the richer I feel.
