Product switch to Engineering?
Hi, I’ve been a PM for 3 years (2 years SaaS ad tech, 1 year DTC e-commerce) and have an PM offer from an excitingstartup. I have 8 YOE and an MBA from a Top 15 business school. My background before Product was analytics and I still write SQL/build visualization. In the Bay Area, approaching 34, and have a baby daughter. keep wondering if attending a FT coding boot camp to get into engineering is a good move. I’m looking for a true work from anywhere, flexibility,

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Anyone have general tips for this situation?

I am not sure who needs to hear this but exactly one year ago, I was at my lowest point in life. Today, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Life has truly been a rollercoaster these past few years for me.

I am sharing this to tell you that no matter what you’re feeling right now, it won’t last. Even the happiness I feel right now, I’ve had that stripped from me multiple times. That is LIFE. We have the good and the bad.

Hang in there if times are bad. If things are good, prepare to lose it too.

Big name shop. Shitty account, but you get opportunities beyond that.

Shop with bad reputation that lacks PR and hardly enters awards but has a lot of book-worthy projects.

Low billable, low pressure work in privacy law? Slowly realizing that as my boys get older, the money isn’t worth what I’m missing out on. Currently a tech litigation associate with lots of hearing, depo and trial experience (I’ve appeared on my own at hearings/depos) at a well respected firm. I have limited privacy experience despite being hired for that reason… Have my CIPM and CIPP/US /E and /C. Remote preferred; hubs is pilot with cool intl transfer opportunities. Money isn’t issue.

I have initiated ideas for new products to align with company strategy and goals, designed and managed the development of the products, and enabled delivery of product to the market. Since most of these are B2B products, delivery would include a phased-production rollout to those customers, based on their roles, locations etc. I have developed both software and data products in the healthcare and social

So I recently interviewed for an associate PM role with my current company. I’ve been a store manager with them for 11 years. You’d think given my time knowing the product/ company for so long, that I’d be a great fit but I got rejected and haven’t gotten feedback probably will get ghosted. Should I shoot my shot and advocate for myself with the hiring manager either way?
